YouTube Unveils New AI Features at Made on YouTube 2025

YouTube has announced a suite of new artificial intelligence tools at its annual Made on YouTube 2025 event. The updates are designed to make content creation faster, improve global reach, and give creators more insights into how their work performs.

AI Tools for Shorts Creation

YouTube is introducing powerful AI tools to support creators making Shorts. The integration of Veo 3 Fast allows users to generate video clips with styles, motion effects, and props through text prompts. Another feature, Edit with AI, turns raw footage into polished clips by selecting highlights, adding transitions, music, and optional voiceovers.

Speech to Song is also debuting, using AI to transform dialogue into music tracks for Shorts. Creators can choose from styles such as upbeat, danceable, or relaxed, opening up new ways to remix content.

Studio Enhancements

Inside YouTube Studio, creators will now have access to Ask Studio, an AI assistant that provides advice on strategy, analytics, and optimisation. Auto-dubbing is also being upgraded with improved lip synchronisation, allowing videos to be translated into multiple languages while maintaining a natural flow.

A/B testing tools are being rolled out, giving creators the ability to compare titles and thumbnails before publishing. This provides greater control over presentation and performance.

Safety Features

To address concerns around deepfakes and identity misuse, YouTube is adding a likeness detection tool. This helps creators identify and manage content that uses their facial likeness, giving them more protection in an era of rapid AI advances.

Broader Updates

Other updates include better support for live formats, collaboration tools, and expanded options for shopping and branded content. These features continue YouTube’s push to connect creators with monetisation opportunities.

Impact on Creators

The new AI tools lower the barrier to entry for video production, making it easier for creators to edit, localise, and optimise their work. They also enable experimentation with new content formats. However, the changes raise questions about originality, oversaturation, and the ethics of AI-generated content.

Conclusion

With these announcements, YouTube is positioning itself at the forefront of AI-driven content creation. The tools aim to empower creators, expand their reach, and keep audiences engaged, while also tackling the risks of generative AI.
