A Canadian startup born in a small apartment now connects disabled workers across three continents.

Enabled Talent just scored big wins in Europe and Africa while tech leaders take notice of what founder Amandipp Singh calls “the world’s largest untapped workforce.”

Over 1.3 billion people live with disabilities worldwide. Nearly 80% of working-age adults in this group remain jobless. Singh, who was born with partial vision, built an AI platform to fix this massive problem.

Global Expansion Brings Results

Enabled Talent launched globally in October 2024. The platform now runs pilot projects in six countries, including Canada, the United States, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and Mali. Companies sign up directly. Universities create hiring hubs. Nonprofit groups partner to expand reach.

The Brampton-based company became the only Canadian startup selected for UNICEF’s Startup Lab program. This partnership opens doors across Africa, where 85 million people with disabilities need work opportunities.

Recognition Follows Growth

Brampton’s city hall hosted Enabled Talent’s recent award ceremony. Mayor Patrick Brown presented the company with the 2025 Accessibility Award. The recognition came just 10 months after Singh started the company from his apartment.

“Brampton is proud to be the launching ground for Enabled Talent,” Brown stated during the ceremony. The mayor called the platform a combination of innovation and compassion that puts inclusion at the heart of workforce transformation.

Singh launched the platform’s soft launch in January 2024. By July, 8,000 users and 12 organisations had joined. Major tech accelerators, including AWS for Startups, Microsoft for Startups, and Nvidia Inception Program, accepted the company.

Technology Meets Real Need

Enabled Talent uses AI to match job seekers with employers. The platform provides resume help, interview coaching, and career guidance. Workers control what information they share with potential employers.

The system focuses on skills rather than limitations. Companies get pre-vetted candidates through university partnerships and nonprofit connections. This approach removes guesswork from traditional hiring processes.

Singh partnered with Algoma University to develop TARA, an AI voice tool for visually impaired workers. The technology helps people navigate workplace environments using voice commands. ElevenLabs provided grant funding for the project.

Market Reality Drives Innovation

Research shows that inclusive teams score twice as high on innovation and problem-solving measures compared to traditional teams. Companies with inclusive hiring practices generate 28% higher revenue, according to Accenture studies.

Ghana’s consul-general Peter Kobina Taylor expressed optimism about the platform’s African expansion. He believes the inclusive employment tools will enhance economic opportunities and create regional partnerships.

The global talent shortage adds urgency to the mission. Companies worldwide struggle to find skilled workers while millions of qualified people with disabilities remain unemployed.

Business Model Shows Promise

Enabled Talent keeps services free for job seekers. Institutions pay tiered subscription fees based on size and needs. Employers choose between subscription or performance-based payment models.

The platform connects employers, educational institutions, nonprofits, and government agencies. This network approach creates multiple pathways from learning to employment.

Singh describes the mission as building the world’s most inclusive talent platform. The company bases its development on feedback from the disability community rather than outside assumptions about their needs.

Future Plans

The Spanish expansion will deepen European Union operations. African pilots in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria will expand to 24 countries over five years. Singh aims to position Enabled Talent as a global leader in inclusive workforce transformation.

The platform’s growth comes during increased focus on diversity and inclusion in corporate hiring. Remote work trends create new opportunities for workers who face traditional workplace barriers.

World Disability Day on December 3, 2025, marks the scheduled launch date for TARA voice assistant. The timing connects product development with global awareness initiatives.

Industry Impact Grows

The employment technology sector shows strong growth, with a market size exceeding $10.8 billion in 2024. Analysts project 8.5% annual growth through 2034 as companies invest in better hiring tools.

Enabled Talent’s institutional partnership model differs from traditional job boards. The approach emphasises trust and pre-qualification rather than anonymous resume submissions.

Eve Adams from the Canadian Business Disability Inclusion Network supports the platform’s approach. She notes that disability-inclusive talent pipelines unlock innovation, resilience, and stronger business outcomes for employers.

The company’s trajectory from local startup to international platform reflects broader changes in how organisations think about talent acquisition and workplace inclusion. Singh’s vision extends beyond job placement to systemic workforce transformation that benefits everyone involved.
