Samsung Expands 24/7 Emergency Support Across More Galaxy Devices

Samsung 24/7 security protocol

Samsung has expanded access to its SOS+ emergency tool, now available on a much broader lineup of devices. The expansion shows that safety features are becoming a core part of the Galaxy ecosystem rather than an add-on reserved for specific markets or models.

SOS+ gives users round-the-clock access to rapid emergency response. When triggered, it shares the user’s location and dispatches the nearest private medical or security team. The feature works through multiple activation channels, including a dedicated app and preset ICE contacts.

How the Service Works in Real Moments

The tool is designed for situations where speed matters. It gathers the user’s real-time location, sends alerts to the emergency network, and requests medical or security responders closest to the scene. Samsung says the goal is simple: provide reliable help as fast as possible.

New buyers of eligible devices receive a full year of complimentary access. After that period, the service continues on a subscription basis. This approach makes it easier for users to experience the system before deciding whether to keep it.

The Devices Now Covered

The expansion moves SOS+ beyond the Galaxy A-series into Samsung’s top product tiers. Newly supported devices include:

  • All current Galaxy Z foldable models, including Fold and Flip variants.

  • The full Galaxy S25 line, from the base S25 to the S25 Ultra and S25 FE.

This broader eligibility ensures that Samsung’s most advanced devices now carry the same core safety capabilities as its mid-range models.

What This Means for Users

The rollout reflects a deeper industry trend. As smartphones become more central to users’ daily lives, manufacturers are turning them into all-in-one safety hubs. For regions where public emergency systems face pressure, private response networks can offer a valuable additional layer of protection.

The move also raises practical questions. Response times depend on third-party partner networks, and coverage may vary by region. The feature is currently tied to specific markets, and global rollout plans have not been fully outlined.

A Step Toward Standardising Emergency-Ready Phones

Samsung’s decision to broaden SOS+ across its premium devices shows where smartphone design is heading. Safety is no longer a niche feature for a few selected models. By integrating 24/7 emergency support into more of its flagship lineup, Samsung is positioning the Galaxy brand as not just powerful or stylish, but dependable when it matters most.
