The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB) has introduced a new online system allowing candidates for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination to verify and upload their O-Level results without visiting a Computer-Based Test centre. This platform currently covers results issued by the West African Examinations Council, with immediate expansion plans for other examination bodies.
Solving Systemic Challenges Through Technology
Historically, candidates were required to physically visit accredited centres to upload their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination results. This approach resulted in long queues, network downtime, and immense pressure on physical infrastructure.
The direct integration of the e-Facility platform with examination bodies resolves several legacy issues. By checking results directly against the issuing organisation’s database, the system prevents the presentation of unverified certificates. It also eliminates human error associated with manual grade entry and resolves cases involving misplaced paper documents.
Verification and Upload Procedure
Candidates looking to utilise this new system must visit the official verification portal at buyresultsverificationcode.ng and input their National Identification Number. After selecting the number of sittings and the relevant examination body, candidates provide their contact information and complete the fee payment using a secure payment gateway.
Following successful payment, candidates enter their specific examination details to generate a unique Verification Code. To finalise the upload, candidates send a text message with the word VERIFY followed by a space and their Verification Code to 55019 or 66019. Candidates with two sittings can log directly into their e-Facility dashboard, select the 2026 O’Level Upload option, and input their code to complete the mapping process.
