Built by Eniola Alex, this platform combines AI technology with medical expertise to help healthcare providers diagnose faster. Currently focused on Nigeria’s skincare market, it connects users with dermatologists who provide virtual consultations. The platform’s AI analyzes over 1,500 data sources of African skin types to deliver personalized, medical-grade recommendations.
2. YarnGPT
Built by recent UNILAG graduate Saheed Azeez, YarnGPT is an AI-powered speech and dubbing tool that converts text and video content into natural-sounding African accents and languages. It allows creators to dub videos from English into Igbo, Yoruba, and Hausa, making them sound authentic. The tool gained viral attention through demo videos and has clear applications in media, education, and accessibility.

3. MEDWAKA
This emergency response platform provides fast, reliable medical assistance during emergencies. Founded by Oluwatobi Muyiwa, MEDWAKA offers real-time guidance on first aid and emergency response, leveraging AI and GPS tracking to ensure seamless coordination between patients, first responders, and hospitals. The platform addresses Nigeria’s critical problem of slow emergency response times.
4. Xara
A WhatsApp-based AI banking assistant launched by Sulaiman Adewale in 2025, Xara enables users to send money, pay bills, track spending, and schedule payments using natural language. Users can simply say “Send ₦2,000 to Chioma,” and the AI handles the transaction. It understands Nigerian speech patterns, Pidgin, and English, with plans to add Hausa and Yoruba.

Team led by Prince Ogbonna, after manually collating paper ballots in a campus election, this e-voting platform enables organizations to create and manage elections digitally. The platform has partnered with 12 associations, including the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN) and Silverbird Group, for the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant. Unlike other platforms, Smooth Ballot isn’t limited to political elections and allows organizations to set up elections themselves.
