Axiz has signed a new distribution agreement with Equinix, bringing global data centre and interconnection services closer to African enterprises and resellers. The partnership, announced on 3 October 2025, positions Axiz as a channel for Equinix’s offerings across South Africa and other African markets.

Expanding Access to Global Infrastructure

The agreement gives Axiz partners and customers direct access to Equinix’s Johannesburg International Business Exchange (IBX JN1) facility. It also opens the door to Equinix Fabric, which enables secure, on-demand connections to a wide ecosystem of international cloud providers, networks, and partners.

A Boost for Local Resellers

Through Axiz, resellers can now integrate Equinix’s interconnection and colocation services into their portfolios without navigating the complex barriers typically associated with global infrastructure providers. This move lowers entry costs while enabling partners to deliver more competitive cloud and connectivity solutions.

Strengthening Africa’s Digital Position

The deal comes at a time when Africa’s digital economy is accelerating. Both companies see this partnership as a catalyst for growth. Equinix emphasised that its collaboration with Axiz will simplify how African enterprises connect to global markets, while Axiz views it as an expansion of its role in shaping digital transformation across the continent.

Strategic Timing for Growth

With demand for reliable cloud interconnectivity and data services on the rise, the partnership positions both companies to capture a growing market. For Axiz, it strengthens its distribution portfolio. For Equinix, it embeds its global infrastructure deeper into Africa’s digital ecosystem.
